SXSW 2011: Saturday, March 19

The final night of SXSW 2011 came to a close with diverse and high profile showcases across Austin. Perez Hilton presented his fourth annual One Night in Austin party with a lineup of dancey pop acts including Selah Sue, Zowie, Kids of 88, and Liz Phair. However, one the show's best performance was from the DJ duo of Mia Moretti and violinist Caitlin Moe.

Earlier in the day, Athens and Atlanta artists like Trances Arc, Reptar, Futurebirds, and more played the 40 Watt and Go Big Or Go Back to ATL shows. Atomic Tom also drew a solid crowd at The Rusty Spurs to close out their SXSW experience.

SXSW 2011: Monday, March 14

While the digital portion of SXSW reigned supreme on Monday, March 14, CNN Grill surprised many with a special performance by Atomic Tom to end KC Estenson's, General Manager of CNN.com, presentation on the website's new digital properties. Atomic Tom has been gaining notoriety for their creative music videos and exciting live shows, and their stop at the CNN Grill was the perfect way to start their SXSW marathon of shows. The Brooklyn band even recreated their famous subway video for their single "Take Me Out," played entirely on iPhones, which was live streamed on CNN.com. After an ecstatic reception, the quartet picked up their real instruments and performed a full live set for the packed crowd at the CNN Grill.

Earlier in the day before Atomic Tom got the crowd rocking, CNN anchor Ali Velshi chatted before the live audience with Philippe Cousteau, new host of CNN International's Going Green and grandson of famous explorer Jacques Cousteau.

Don't You Want to Meet Topher & Teresa ?!

In promotion of the new totally, totally outrageous comedy Take Me Home Tonight, the movie's stars recreated some of the most memorable scenes from 1980s movies for Atomic Tom's cover of The Human League's "Don't You Want Me." Watch Topher Grace, Anna Faris, Dan Fogler, Teresa Palmer and Demetri Martin do their best impressions on all the 1980s classics that defined a generation. If Take Me Home Tonight is as fun as this video, we are all in for a treat when it hits theaters March 4.
