Sean Renner at Smith's Olde Bar

Atlanta native and Denver based musician Sean Renner will perform at Smith's Olde Bar on Tuesday, May 21 as a part of Jack Daniel's Honey Concert Series. Renner will be joined by punk rockers Some Kind of Nightmare and country band Six Time Losers.

It's been three years since Renner last played Atlanta, and his eclectic sound of electronic, acoustic, folk and experimental music has only strengthened.

500 Songs for Kids 2013- Finale Weekend - Friday Artist List

This weekend 500 Songs for Kids returns to it's original home of Smith's Olde Bar. The lineup and countdown is sure to remind you of home, as they count down 100 of the Greatest Songs by Georgia Artists. Shaky Knees Music Festival

Coming up this weekend, May 4 and 5, is the first ever Shaky Knees Music Festival. Using the stage in the Masquerade Music Park combined with two stages to be set up in the beautiful and adjacent Historic Fourth Ward Park, the Shaky Knees Festival is a full all-day event on both Saturday and Sunday. The festival lineup includes local favorites like Death on Two Wheels and Shovels and Rope as well as two huge daily headliners: Band of Horses and The Lumineers.

The festival was organized by Tim Sweetwood, a longtime Atlanta promoter and talent buyer. Shaky Knees promises to be different from all the other summer music festivals out there, and we are hoping it will be the first year of many. Sweetwood's goal was to appeal to all kinds of music fans and to maybe introduce them to a band that they never would have discovered had they not attended this festival.

In addition to the daytime concerts there is a late-night show on Saturday with GOAT and The Black Angels. Get your tickets soon because two-day passes are already sold out and the one-day passes are soon to follow.

InstaRecap: 500 Songs for Kids Weekend 2

500 Songs for Kids continued its musical marathon on Weekend 2 of the five weekend charity event. Departing Smith's Olde Bar for the first time in seven years, The Loft hosted the second weekend of songs focused on VH1's Greatest Hits from the 1980s and 1990s.

Local musicians including Sonia Leigh, Ben Deignan, Joshua Fletcher, David Dalton, and many more belted out their assigned songs. Sonia Leigh's cover of the Alanis Morissette classic and jilted girl anthem "You Outta Know" had the entire crowd screaming along.

This weekend, 500 Songs for Kids takes over The Earl while the countdown continues with 100 Greatest College Radio Songs.
