The Last Hurrah Party

It would not be summer without a movie about the end of the world and this summer Focus Features is delivering Seeking A Friend For the End of the World starring Steve Carell and Keira Knightley. The humorous yet moving film about Earth's final days hits movie theaters on Friday, June 22, but 99x, Mixtape Atlanta, 43Kix Atlanta, and Atlanta Food Truck Park are starting the party on Wednesday, June 20.

Join us for "The Last Hurrah" on Wednesday, June 20 at Atlanta Food Truck Park from 6:30-9:30PM. This party fit for the end of the world will include performances by Generation Now, Aerobics Cube, and "last meal" food specials. Mixtape Atlanta will also be doing a special photo booth so raid your closet and come dressed in "everything you've never worn".

This a FREE event and open to all ages. The first 50 people to arrrive receive free t-shirts and advanced screening passes.

Special showing of Armageddon starring Ben Affleck and Bruce Willis at dusk, so bring your blankets and picnic baskets.

Mixtape Atlanta is giving away passes to an advanced screening of Safety Not Guaranteed, starring Aubrey Plaza, Mark Duplass and Jake Johnson. The film opens June 15th, but see it before everyone else at a special screening at Regal Tara TONIGHT, June 11th at 7pm. Moonrise Up

On June 8, Moonrise Kingdom will be released in Atlanta. Wes Anderson's first live action film since 2007's The Darjeeling Limited is set in 1965 and tells the story of two young lovers who flee their New England Island town to be together and the search party that follows. The film stars Anderson movie staples Bill Murray and Jason Schwartzman, as well as Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Frances McDormand, and Tilda Swinton.

Moonrise premiered at Cannes Film Festival to high critical acclaim and has been a strong box office draw in selective cities. The film will open at Midtown's Landmark Art Cinema on Friday.

Mixtape Atlanta is hosting a small screening on the film on Wednesday, June 6 at Landmark. Enter to win screening passes for two and check out this film before it is widely released.
