500 Songs for Kids 2012: Janelle Monae

On the final Night of 500 Songs for Kids 2012, Janelle Monae returned to Smith's Olde Bar stage to support Songs for Kids Foundation. Monae has been an amazing supporter of the foundation since it started, including making visits to the hospitals and performing for several years at 500 Songs. With her increasingly demanding schedule, Monae was unable to perform at last year's countdown but she returned this year with her most stunning performance to date. Supported by her full band, Monae absolutely rocked the house with her renditions of The Jackson 5's "I Want You Back" and Jimi Hendrix's "Little Wing." Watch her full performance below.
