Saturday November 19, many families gathered at Atlantic Station for the holiday lighting of the popular Atlanta landmark. In anticipation of that night's lighting of the tree, carolers sang throughout the afternoon, vendors offered information and deals, and Erik from the newly released Happy Feet Two made a special appearance for photos. Today the Moon, Tomorrow the Sun on FIRE
Today the Moon, Tomorrow the Sun are local staples in just about every music venue throughout Atlanta. It is this dedication to their fans and music, that has not only gathered them a strong devoted fan base but their recent signing to Greyday Records. Today they released their full-length LP Wildfire. Full of their emotional, catchy, dance hits, Wildfire's anxiously anticipated release is well worth the wait. Last year, Favorite Gentlemen took over all three venues at Center Stage Complex for the first annual label and friends showcase, The Stuffing. This year, The Stuffing is continuing its sold-out run. With a dynamic lineup including Manchester Orchestra, Cage the Elephant, All Get Out, Death on Two Wheels, A: The Color, Kevin Devine, and many more, this event is becoming THE pre-Thanksgiving party.

It's Gonna Be a White X-Mix 2011
Mixtape Atlanta is returning to Star Bar for the third year in a row for our annual X-Mix celebration! This year we are dreaming of a White X-Mix as we celebrate the season and two remarkable charities, including a toy drive for Toys for Tots and all proceeds benefiting Songs for Kids Foundation. Come out and party for a good cause as Star Bar is transformed into a snowy wonderland inspired by the classic holiday film. In addition to holiday cheer, celebrate the launch of Whynatte's newest Pinnacle marshmallow vodka shot, Mother Fluffer; don't miss a special marshmallowy Mixtape Atlanta photo booth created in the shot's honor. Full music lineup will be announced soon, so mark those calendars!

After fighting an intense social media battle to name Whynatte and Pinnacle Vodka's new shot, Mixtape Atlanta emerged victorious with the name Mother Fluffer! We send a huge hug of thanks to all that voted for us and helped us edge out the competition for most votes. The name proved fitting due to the drink's yummy blend of Whynatte's signature taste, Pinnacle's new marshmallow vodka, and that attitude that comes with slamming a series of Whynatte shots. Sweet Music for All
Wednesday November 16, Mixtape Atlanta and Rival Entertainment are presenting a showcase that will have your pulses racing and feet dancing. Brooklyn's Hank and Cupcakes's have an infectious sound and energy that is hard to find in bands five-times their size, and yet this twosome makes it look effortless. Their pop-dance beats and catchy lyrics all sound like hits, but their current single "Hit" will be stuck in your stereo and head for days. Atlanta's Today the Moon, Tomorrow the Sun will also be performing their talented mix of electronic rock songs with a pop sensibility. Ray Garrison rounds out the showcase playing his blend of pop-rock songs. After the bands finish their sets, the dance party will continue as Aerobics Cube deejays a set of favorite party hits.

Twilight: Breaking Dawn Meet & Greet
On November 7, thousands of lucky Twilight fans gathered at The Buckhead Theatre for a special sneak-peek at the saga's upcoming film Breaking Dawn as well as a night of Twilight inspired magic from music to actual interaction with the cast. VIP ticket holders even got to meet and take photos with some of the film's cast, including Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone and Charlie Bewley. Get your meet and greet photos here!

Butch Walker Returns to Variety Playhouse
Friday October 7, Butch Walker and The Black Widows rolled into Variety Playhouse for a sold-out show fresh from their sold-out show the night before in Athens, Georgia. With new album The Spade and book Drinking with Strangers, Walker showed no signs of exhaustion giving the audience exactly what they came for- a night of pure musicianship and performance.
